22.3 job

Sleeve,
The 22.3's I have talked with come in at 3:00 am and are gone by noon. 65k would work just fine with me. Especially when I would have time to work something else after I get off. I work at a pretty large hub. Probally second in size next to OKC hub.
Working in a large hub with lots of 22.3 jobs is a good thing.
Second idea is to find out whether or not you can switch classifications once you are 22.3. And hold your seniority date. Some regions you can, others you can't. If not, then I personally wouldn't go 22.3.
Another is to find out when jobs are bid, how often; if at all. If it's a permanent spot, then that's worth thinking about. lol

I came off pkg car for the same reason, I knew my body would not be able to handle the stress for 10 or so more years. I enjoyed the pkg car more than my present job. Bottom line that I had to look at...I go out with disability and live with knee and back pain the rest of my life or bid on something that I could retire from with my health. Smart decision for me was to take the job I could retire from.
