Management slang. Probably the job classification in the system. Driver is a driver and they all want the same stuff. If someone calls someone a rpcd or 22.4 or 300 or whatever i guarantee you they'll be crossing the picket line.

On the contrary, I know people who have no idea what article 22.4 is even though they are one. They don’t care about the union unless it can help them and laugh at the idea of reading a contract. They will cross. The ones who care enough to learn the contract will not.

But you are right I think 0300 is term from the payroll system, not the contract.
