I remember working for $2/hr. Work 10 hours for 20 bucks minus taxes. You young guys are spoiled rotten.

Youve got me beat old timer. One of my first jobs was at Sbarros. $3.50/hr. After 1 year my boss comes up to me and says I'm doing a great job and that he put in for a raise. When I got my next paycheck I ripped it open to see how much. $3.60/hr.

Are you at full rate or still in progression? In progression take the day off. At full rate I would work.

nope couple months away from my 2nd seniority date, if i was at top rate my ass would be workin as much as possible

Its called a 4-10 shift . So this being UPS work 12 hours a day, and enjoy a 3 day weekend. Sign me up for that please.

I say work as much as you can when you're young and invincible. Stockpile the cash along the way. Once you're a cranky old timer and pretty much set and close to retirement, they'll beg you to take days off, and you can do so comfortably knowing you're already all set financially.
