That's where the harassment comes into play for some drivers.... this constant "what happen yesterday".. always in your fing face... always.

My line for this is always "My management team failed me."

In my experience the pt sup who wants that driving job is strung along and promised over and over that they will get a shot.. but nothing ever happens. Also the few that have got a driving gig never went back to Mgt after the move... none.

That can absolutely happen, if you're not perceived as a solid citizen, fairly or not. As for back to management, it's not necessarily expected, and usually known up front. I've seen plenty of guys go driving that were never coming off the road.
