It would have to be way more than time and a half to entice me back. My WCT PEER 80 retirement would suspend pension payments if I work in any suspendible work category. Working at UPS is pretty much at the top of the suspendible work list. So, in effect, I'd be working for the difference between the pension and time and a half, which would be roughly NOWHERE NEAR ENOUGH!
Check again, they have increased the hours you can work each month based on your age. 3 month a year you are able to work unlimited hours. I believe to accommodate peak working. Of course after age 65 you can work all you want.

Some guys just don't know what to do with themselves if they don't have a job. I know a couple of guys who retired after 30+ years and went straight to driving a school bus.

Even if you retire with pension and investments you still need $ working on your behalf as a hedge to keep pace. Especially with the low rates.
