Ah, vacation...

I call those planning vacations. I take a major project I want to complete. I plan it. Study it very carefully. Try to take a different perspective over a couple of beers here and there and If I plan carefully my week is usually done by the time I'm ready to implement.:happy-very:
The exact( almost) description of my first weeks vacation last month.
Replace,"a couple of beers" to "a couple of 12 packs" and we are on the same page.
My secret is to do something special for my wife, to cover up the fact I have just been doing nothing, except drinking and thinking.
I do something she normally does when she comes home ,after her hard days work.
Clean kitchen and supper on the stove works every time.
If the laundry is done, well lets just say, the Viagra flag will be flying.

Got a vacation next week...Headin up to Ga to meet some friends..be nice not to sweat whilst working:happy-very:

I'm off next week too, I will be staying home "doing nothing". I use weeks like this to go see my doc and dentist, I'm about due for a PMI. I call my vacation weeks at home my "maintenance week". Turning off that alarm clock is the best part. I usually plan on some big home improvement project, but I never get everything done. I have been meaning to paint the outside of my house the last five years.

MonavieLeaker, its been in the nineties and humid up here, you will sweat even if you aren't working.:sweatdrop

I would just lay face down and hold the hammock up without any help.
Quite a balancing act, but I can get "up" for it.

Tie, I hear ya my friend. I thought for two weeks prior to this vacation of everything I was going to do around the house. It hasn't happened yet:happy2:.

What I do like about these vacations with no plans is that I get to visit all of my favorite restuarants on weeknights and at normal dinner hours. I look forward to these nights out every vacation that I stay home:happy2:

I hit my 19th year in Feb but I won't get the 6th week of vacation until the 20th year. I am kinda on vacation this week. My wife and daughters went to Niagara Falls for the week so it's just me and the boy. Is it possible to get sick of bacon cheeseburgers?

I am on my fourth week out of six. I still need to schedule my Option Days, so in a way I have seven weeks plus two days. I haven't done anything either this week, but I made sure my alarm clock doesn't go off at 4:30 AM!:sleeping2:

If it does go off, we should all prepare for Armageddon.

Sounds great! Sleeping late on Saturday is my big treat for the week. I get 6 weeks as well but I wind up taking 1 or 2 days here and there with usually only getting to take a whole week off once per year. I had this week scheduled but as usual, something came up. Hoping I can get Thurs and Fri off before my grandson (8 yrs old) goes back to school.
