It’s indoctrination nowadays, not education. Try being a conservative (grand)parent with a (grand)child in college/university. The complete dismissal of taught and learned values is eye opening. It will take years in the School of Hard Knocks before they realize their error.

My recently graduated nephew was posting some social justice warrior stuff. My brother and sister-in-law, both liberal themselves, would go on and on about how brilliant he is. And if they didn't he would. Was going to set the world on fire. Got a job starting at $35k that was supposed to be an in to an exciting career field. As suspected it was a job that worked new graduates half to death for as little pay as possible. After two years got a job with a local city that has half the stress if even that much. Doesn't pay any more but benefits are good. He's much happier now. They realize the importance of a degree, none of them would have lasted doing a job like FedEx very long.

He’s not nuanced at all. The lie about college indoctrination is wide spread on the right. They believe in conspiracies. The reality is people with an education don’t find modern conservatism appealing. The majority of the country doesn’t find modern conservatism appealing.

You only have to see the well documented physical attacks against conservatives on campus, to the protests of conservatives even speaking on campus, to know most universities are hotbeds of far Left extremism. Leftist professors have been indoctrinating the masses for quite awhile now and it's paid off for them. They'll ultimately get their socialism as more and more radicals like AOC get elected. May take 10-20 years, but it's coming.

I’m an educated owner of multiple guns who believes in secure borders and equality of opportunity rather than equality of outcome.

But I will also never stop advocating for things like universal healthcare coverage or strong environmental protections.
