You can deny we're harming the planet all you want, but it won't change the reality. And yeah the planet won't die, but it will become uninhabitable to human life if we just carry on. Overpopulation will continue to make us use more and more fossil fuels and we're just supposed to say since we're not the worst we shouldn't do anything? Costing jobs? What about creating them? Changing our entire power grid would create thousand of jobs. And this is a 20-30 year plan at best. Nothing will happen overnight.
I trust you clowns to abort enough in America to cover our contribution.
I'm not even sure we are at replacement births.
Take your clown show to the third world if you're serious. Until then friendranco Omerican.

I believe that your dire observation/prediction was stated back in the early 70's..(50 years ago).

i dont deny we need a clean planet and clean water. I do deny we need to take the jobs of coal miners and oil workers when the real pollution problems are in asia. you have a lot of clean up in asia before eliminating fossil fuel jobs become the next most likely option.
you guys love screwing your own when there are much bigger fish to fry.
the problem with you environmental alarmist is all rational thought has left the discussion.

He cosponsored it.

BOSTON – U.S. Sen. Ed Markey is a lead sponsor of the Green New Deal, a resolution mapping out a path to address climate change and fuel a greener economy, but he won’t be voting in favor of the proposal when it hits the U.S. Senate floor Tuesday.

Dismissing the vote scheduled by U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell as a “sham vote” that seeks to “make a mockery of the debate in the Senate on climate action,” Markey said Monday that he and other Democrats will vote “present” Tuesday as a way of rebuffing McConnell, a Kentucky Republican. It could also allow Democrats to avoid a vote that could reveal rifts within the party.

“They are calling this vote without any hearings, without any expert testimony, without any true discussion about the cost of climate inaction and the massive potential for clean energy job creation,” Markey said at his Boston office.

There, fixed it for ya.

So he sponsored a bill so terrible that even he couldn't vote for it. Hilarious!

Haven't been following this. Is Markey suggesting that expert testimony and climate discussion are necessary to convince more moderate Democrats to vote for the Green New Deal or that he's not so sure about his cosponsorship of the Green New Deal without expert testimony and climate discussion? He and the others are voting "present" to protest one of those things?

If they're not protesting one of those things, does it not sound like the Green New Deal is mainly just an attempt to virtue signal to Democratic constituents?
