If someone chooses not to be embalmed the burial has to be very fast

Why would anyone choose to BE embalmed? I always thought it was some kind of law that you had to be.

Lots of people don't want to be embalmed. There is no need to if you get buried in a day or two. There are also "Green Burials", no casket required. Five hours is fast though, he must have had his whole family there. I imagine there will be some kind of memorial service later.
