Judging from that side photo, it looks a right rear brake fire. The burn pattern spreads out from there. Fuel tank is located just in front of that too.

Possibly a bit of brake fluid leaking?
If so, could the heat from using the brakes cause a fire?
Perhaps one of the mechanics could let us know...

I know a driver that had something similar happen to him. Pkg car overheated, he pulled over on the interstate and it caught fire. He pulled the fire extinguisher trigger and a poof of dust shot out, nothing.
Next morning big pcm about all the things “driver A” did wrong and they painted him out to be a big idiot. I know checking the extinguisher is part of the pre trip but he claims he did that.
