No, I don't care for the EU leadership in Brussels. Poland and Hungary have a much better understanding of authoritarianism than you do. They had to live with it for many decades.
problem the economy is free choice of economic authoritarianism. when you have a boss and take orders from a top down hierachy its not democratic. george lucas not a huge believer in capitalist democracy.

It’s tricky because a democracy is self-government. If the average person doesn’t care then of course democracy atrophies. That’s what’s really happening. We have to care as average people or business interests begin to call the shots and we live in their shadow. Democracy is ours to lose.

We don’t have direct democracy in this country and we should never have direct democracy. But what the GQP is trying to arrange is minoritarianism. This is what I’m plainly against.
