Anti Democracy

Call bull:censored2: all you want but it’s the reality we face. Look at Georgia. The legislature and governor stripping the elected Secretary of State of his power to decide on questions of election law and granting the power to the legislature. They want to be able to overturn a decision if it suits them, not based squarely on legal merit. It’s fascism, I’m telling you.

I think you need to self-educate, research Georgia election statues, see exactly where the power is vested.
You're in over your head pal. Better yet, go to school, pay for an education.
I'm telling you you don't know what you are talking about.

You are very misinformed.

I am anti-democracy. Democracy is rule by majority, or mob rule. In a democracy anyone who does not conform to will of the mob are at risk for persecution or worse. We are suppose to be a representative republic, which is rule by law. But things have gone so sideways in the past few decades that we are not even that any more. We have been semi socialist for many years now and this trend is advancing at a rapid pace. And in my opinion both parties and the American people are to blame. We seem to be very eager to send troops across the world to kill people we dont know to "protect our freedoms" and at the same time worship those in political power who are doing the real damage, regardless of the party.

Keep sticking your head in the sand. Just know you’re on the wrong side of this issue.
You have no idea what you are talking about.
From Georgia.Gov......

Georgia Secretary of State.

Georgia Secretary of State

The Georgia Secretary of State registers voters, tracks annual corporate filings, grants professional licenses, and oversees the state's securities' market.

I'll refer you to the Georgia Constitution to find exactly where the Secretary of State's powers are derived.

get busy, or stay silent, I await your apology.

That has literally nothing to do with what thr new elections law in Georgia changes and why it’s so dangerous. Nice try.

We should ALWAYS have democracy to choose our representatives. This is the kind of democracy that is as American as apple pie and Willie Nelson.

I’m not for direct democracy.

I responded to your post, what you said. If you want to continue I can kick your ass once more.
You lefties aren't smart and curl up fetal if you don't get your way.

In the event you want to argue, state your case.

Which part of the law are you so scared of?

I’m glad you asked.

Suit: Georgia election law threatens voting, speech rights

“One of the most significant changes in the new law is that it removes the secretary of state as chair of the State Election Board, replacing that elected official with a chair selected by the General Assembly. It also allows the state board to remove county election superintendents — a combined election and registration board in most counties — without providing much notice or giving them a meaningful chance to defend against their removal, and then allows the state board to appoint a single person in their place, the lawsuit says. While election boards are subject to requirements of Georgia’s open meetings law, replacing them with a single person would mean that decisions would be made by that one person without the transparency of a public meeting, the lawsuit says.”

Removing the responsibilities of an elected official and granting power to unelected toadies is not my idea of law and order. This is as slimy as I’ve seen an elections law.

We don’t have direct democracy in this country and we should never have direct democracy. But what the GQP is trying to arrange is minoritarianism. This is what I’m plainly against.
So when the Biden administration is trying to give out billions in aid to minority farmers and business owners who've been affected by the pandemic but tell whites they need not apply you're against that? Good to know!

Not at all what I’m referring to. I think you need some education that doesn’t involve Tucker Carlson and OANN.

But it's up to the state legislature to decide how elections are run. Elections have consequences. If you want to go back to not so long ago when no I.D. was required to vote when everything else important in life requires I.D. then get your toadies elected. Nothing is slimier than rigging elections with voter fraud. And is the one part of the new law you truly care about. All else is superfluous.
