Via Politico:
President Bill Clinton veered sharply off message Thursday, telling CNN that Mitt Romney’s business record at Bain Capital was “sterling.”

“I don’t think that we ought to get into the position where we say ‘This is bad work. This is good work,’” Clinton said. “The man who has been governor and had a sterling business career crosses the qualification threshold.”
Clinton also went on to say that Romney’s time at Bain Capital represented a “good business career.”

The Obama campaign is in the third week of an all-out assault on Romney’s time as a corporate buyout specialist — accusing the GOP nominee of bankrupting companies and laying off workers all while pocketing a profit for himself and investors.

But the negative tenor of their attacks on an influential segment of Wall Street have made some Democrats uncomfortable. Clinton is the highest profile Obama surrogate so far to show discomfort with the attacks on Bain, with the former president even praising the company and Romney’s record. Newark mayor Cory Booker and Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick also both declined to press the attack against Bain.

You better watch the whole show like I did yesterday.
Clinton definitly routes for Obama, and said he is doing a damn good job.
He also said, Obama should win in a landslide and praised him for killing Osama, helping out the auto industry, and introducing Obamacare.

If you want to know the truth - I believe CNN.com has the episode online.

CLINTON: "And I like him. And I love playing golf with him. But the evidence is pretty clear that President Obama was born in Hawaii and this whole election should not be about any of these side issues. It really ought to be about the decisions that each of them will make on where we are and where we need to go. That's -- and it's a serious time. So I'd like to see the election turn back to that."

The Dems were all bent out of shape about Trump.........Bill likes him, that's all I was getting across. Trump is not a permnanent fixture.....he's Vegas and N.Y.

I agree, the campaign should be all about what Romney has been talking about.......jobs & economy..............you know, the subjects Obama ducks.

Bill Clinton: “Loyalty doesn’t exist in politics. I’ve heard more from Bush, asking for my advice, than I’ve heard from Obama. I have no relationship with the president - none whatsoever. He’s incompetent.”

I wonder as Clinton brags about "HIS" economy will he mention the "Dot com Bubble" that burst as he and big Al were leaving office.

Also as he brags about His tax rates --not just people over 200,000 were taxed more --ALL OF US WERE. Are you willing to give 5% more to a government that parties, golfs , vacations --wastes money .

Enough about taxing the rich or more tax on anyone ----time for a BUDGET and have the politicians live as we do.

Taxing people over 250,00 will hurt small business and most of all ---will have no impact on the debt.

If Clinton tell the truth --He will say we need MAJOR cuts in all areas as well as HIS tax rates ---which means a substancial tax hike for EVERYONE .

Also if Bill had it all correct --why has it taken over four years for Obama to do it --no tax changes the first two years when Obama had FULL control.

P.S. I know Hillary is hoping that Fluke and Bill are not "sharing" the same waiting room tonight !!:wink2:
