Baltimore fatality

A scenic road's poor sightlines
Fatal collision in northern Baltimore County was at intersection of former country lanes where one now is more like an interstate

A motorist on Corbett Road, at right, waits to enter York Road, which often has heavier and faster traffic. Views of oncoming cars are limited by the trees and sloping roadway up to the elevated intersection. (KARL MERTON FERRON, Baltimore Sun / October 6, 2009)

I notice that the traffic light is yellow with the pick up truck and trailer "flying" through the intersection on a yellow caution.

Wouldn't it help too if they put a NO TURN ON RED sign? The car is WAY past where it should be!

It's on top of a hill. As for no turn on red, only during peak hrs are the lights set to switch, to read and green.
Non peak hrs, the lights just flash. (p/u truck is not going thru a yellow light, but a flashing yellow light). The car has a flashing red light.
