I just bid a training route. Any possible way of making it not a training route?
This. On the plus side, it's a training route for a reason. It's easy. And whenever they're training on that route you'll probably be mostly relegated to split cars and other easy routes.No. If you signed the bid sheet and it says it’s a training route then it’s a training route.
I know some good routes so I’m not too worried. But other higher seniority drivers are telling me it’s a crap route even though they’ve never done it…..This. At least in my local...If UPS makes your route not a training route anymore, then it goes up for bid.I just bid a training route. Any possible way of making it not a training route?

Here they don't rebid it if they make it a regular route, but to remove it they post another bid to take its place. At least in my local...If UPS makes your route not a training route anymore, then it goes up for bid.
No and if they change it to a non training route then it needs to be rebidI just bid a training route. Any possible way of making it not a training route?
When would they be forced to make it a non training route? No and if they change it to a non training route then it needs to be rebid
Seniority sucksI know some good routes so I’m not too worried. But other higher seniority drivers are telling me it’s a crap route even though they’ve never done it…..
The only way they would be forced to get rid of a training route is if they wanted to create a new one on a particular route, but they were already at their contract maximum or if a bunch of routes moved to anther building/center and they then had too many training routes per the contract. Usually when they get rid of one it's because too many people fail at the route or they have another one in mind that was bid for a long time and they want that one instead. When would they be forced to make it a non training route?
You signed it , now demand it.I know some good routes so I’m not too worried. But other higher seniority drivers are telling me it’s a crap route even though they’ve never done it…..
typical old timer attitude don’t pay any attention to it..every route sucks. How many times you hear a guy say “ I love that route” . Training route or not you should be doing it unless supervisors are actively training on it ( LOL)But other higher seniority drivers are telling me it’s a crap route even though they’ve never done it…..
