I never used the word moderate to describe Bernie Sanders. I said left of center. To me there’s a difference. And when I said it I meant less strictly in the American context but all of western democracy. The US is skewed right. He’s firmly on the left in the US but not radical. At least not the 2016 Sanders I was enthusiastic about. He has bent lately to some of the silly woke crap. A moderate would be a centrist.

These kinds of ideas don’t come from a moderate in any “western” democracy. European or other wise. They come from the hard left and on some cases beyond and this is just what the man is proposing while trying to get elected.
