Had friends that spent a lot of money on flowmasters and glassbacks and all that stupid crap. I got the same result by just cutting off the the whole muffler and catalytic converter. It was really silly stuff in hindsight.

Loudest car I ever had was a 1954 Chevy with a six cylinder in it. I split the exhaust manifold and ran two straight pipes all the way to the back. It lasted about a week before the cops and my dad convinced me that wasn't the way to go. That thing would shatter windows when you rapped the pipes.
