I'd love to have a late 60s-early 70s Squareback.

why the 69 or 70? just wondering. there is a site that searches all of craigslist along with other classifieds all over the country called "Search all Junk." if you want to search everywhere.

This is what I drove to school in the 5th grade. Everyone else had bicycles but I had a 1958 Sears moped-- 50cc 2 speed. I bought it myself, mine was a used one, with money I earned delivering news papers after school and working at a mink ranch shoveling :censored2: on weekends. My parents (God bless them) trusted me enough to let have almost anything I wanted as long as I bought it myself with my own money. I put many many miles on that thing over the following four years----and still have some scars from it to remind me that not everyone was as talented as Evil Knievel

With a luggage rack that would hold a case of beer, I'd love to find one. I could let the truck sit for a week at a time.:surprised:

I still have a 1988 Yamaha 50cc Razz scooter I use when I'm feeling lazy and don't want to walk the quarter mile out to get the mail or take the garbage out to the road. That is I use it when the weather cooperates. I still take it along to the races I go to in Iowa every year. It will haul a case of beer, a 25 lb. bag of ice and my fat :censored2: at 32 mph. That's all I need.

Look around and you can find an expansion chamber exhaust and get up to 45 That sort of stuff can get those little Yamaha YSR50's up to 60 with a 60cc big bore kit.

I've got a couple of friends who have those YSR 50's. They were quite popular around here about 15 years ago but they were hard to find. One friend even went to Canada to get one. I once found a web site that was ran by young kids who wanted to get their scooters to go faster so they posted all kinds of ways to jerry-rig them. One of the ways was to take a 1/2 inch drill and drill out the end of the muffler where the out-spoof tube comes out. I tried it and needless to say I managed to ruin the muffler and make it have the most annoying sound in the world. (and it didn't go any faster). I checked at the local Yamaha dealer and he wanted $370.00 for a new muffler. Well that wasn't going to happen (I only paid 400 bucks for the scooter to begin with). I finally found one Ebay for 15 bucks and 12 bucks shipping. Live and learn.
