That’s probably true in your family. Wasn’t true in mine. We were taught to respect our elders. Period.
yea ive heard that before. and when you think about it, it actually doesnt make any sense.

im not recall what my family taught me about respect. but the way i see it everyone deserves equal respect, and if someone is acting bad then they can lose my respect.

one of the guys who said "respect your elders" used it as an excuse for him to justify his lack of respect, which is basically what you did. ppl nicknamed him "the 12 year old" because he threw fits.

when oldngray starts behaving himself, is when he will get more respect.

behaving yourself means acting like a good american by treating people decently even if you dont like their skin colour or if theyre socialists.
