They didn't sue?
They are trying to get the CSPF to reduce benefits now so that they will not go bankrupt, but their effort has hit many major roadblocks.

Reduce and kick in more, less take home. They are trying to get the CSPF to reduce benefits now so that they will not go bankrupt, but their effort has hit many major roadblocks.
For now. When they do go broke, UPS is liable for their portion.
So true. That should've never happened, but it did. That’s CS... remember UPS gave them a gazillion dollars.....
If you were to retire right now, 55-30, what is the monthly payout in the CS?
I'm confused.
Why would you.... As a UPS Teamster....
Be trying to use the Central States calculator ?
If you are a UPS employee, it wouldn't apply.
I’m a 30 plus year employee , I have vested interest in both
I'm gonna take a guess that when it becomes inevitable that it will go under it will get reduced to them making up a portion of the difference. For now.
If the gov't insurance pays the ~50%, ups would only have to pay the other ~50%, correct?I'm gonna take a guess that when it becomes inevitable that it will go under it will get reduced to them making up a portion of the difference.
I swear when I retired and would call ups retirement dept I felt like I was the first to ever retire from ups. Everyone had a different answer to a question. Almost everyone who retired in the last year had issues with retirement dept. I swear it was like they wanted to torture you on the way out too
I’d leave right nowView attachment 207031 Works every time for me.
Hope I'm not there at 65, hope to get out around 57-60 but... $6492.45 sounds good to me, plus SS and 401k and investments I should be good.
For how long are they liable though? When they do go broke, UPS is liable for their portion.
For how long are they liable though?
After BUG flamed me
When I asked a question about the guarantee language awhile back I took time to contact my BA on this. He basically said the same thing
Don't believe this will really become an issue till they make cuts and it starts costing UPS money. Hopefully at that point the costs will be less than the bad press the company would get by wanting to drop the guarantee.
