Inordinately Right
Probably, southerners are much friendlier than yankees.Think your interactions with police might be different than those of a young black man in the south?

This is the definition of white privilege. Not only do you refuse to acknowledge black people are treated differently by police but you imply their problems are their fault. “If they’d just treat police with more respect they’d be A OK!” Lol, such a fantasyland you live in.Not if the young black man also makes the officer feel safe and respected.
I may be white but I’m also afraid of what could happen if I don’t do those things when interacting with an officer who I don’t know and have never met before.
I expect that if I make trouble, I’ll get trouble too. The officer just wants to do his job and return home to his family after work. Not drag me or a nice black man out of the car for a casual beating.
Exactly. We're not so different after all.Just like us non-conformist Whities do!
Bless your heart!Probably, southerners are much friendlier than yankees.

It is all able how you behave around cops. Regardless of color.Sorry, but most police in the south aren’t what the media makes them out to be for you. Their treatment of black men doesn’t come out of nowhere. If I try to fight or tell the police to geted it won’t end well for me either.
You realize the two good ol boys riding in a truck who gunned down this young man were not police officers, right?Sorry, but most police in the south aren’t what the media makes them out to be for you. Anyone can read the police report. It basically says that 3 men, at least two of whom were armed, used to 2 separate vehicles to chase an unarmed man through the streets trying several times to intercept him or cut him off before finally shooting him in "self-defense". And all that information comes straight from one of the defendants. The police who did the initial investigation wanted to arrest the father and son (for obvious reasons), but were shut down by the DA who had a previous relationship with the elder McMichael. If the DA had let the police do their job at the time we might not even be talking about this. You realize the two good ol boys riding in a truck who gunned down this young man were not police officers, right?
The more I learn in this, I don't think a murder charge will be upheld by a jury.
Perhaps the Georgia prosecutors will be smarter than the Florida prosecutors in the Zimmerman case ... wouldn't take much.
You two drive around in your truck with guns and stop this alleged thief and I'll film it. My weekends with my bros only result in hangovers.
They overcharge hoping the defendant will plead guilty to a lesser charge.prosecuters tend to swing for the fences on these for political reasons when the facts tell you a single or doubel may be all you can hope for.
in Zimmermans case a lesser form of manslaughter would have gotten him in jail instead they tried to push it to a murder charge.

I think they charged the camera guy to push him to become a witness for the prosecution.filming it appears to get you arrested now. I wonder if the prosecuters thought that one through. who is going to offer up their video to the cops if they think it may get them arrested for murder .

And that the DA stepped aside because of a possible conflict of interest.or so the story goes as spun from one side of the issue. All you left out was that those men were being used to assist the local police force.
