climate catastrophe

But true. Every time we drive through Palm Springs I get sick looking at all the wind mills, hideous.

"Multiply these energy sources’ maximum capacities by their capacity factors, and you’ll find that it would take almost 800 average-sized wind turbines to match the output from a 900-megawatt nuclear reactor."

800 wind turbines covering a vast area could be anyone's idea of hell if they're honest about it. They'd take the nuclear reactor over that any day.
From what I’ve read and the little I understand of it, I don’t have problems with nuclear power. Seems like a good source of “clean energy”

But I would also like to see America become one of the leaders in renewable energy, and I think we’re being manipulated or taken fools by the oil industry and it’s setting us back

China is placing so many solar panels in their country, and I doubt it’s because they care about the environment. I think our politicians are being bribed by the oil industry and hurting our interests as a country and hurting the world also

Saw the other day where Japan just installed a mini nuclear reactor that will power one of their cities. Said it was impossible to melt down. Uses very low grade uranium.

my patients depend on me.

but i agree in europe they dont require you to use a car.
I hope that works out for you. I did without a car for many years, walking to work in high heat and humidity, in below zero temps, in rainstorms. I also used public transportation, especially in Seattle. It's all doable, but doesn't come close to having your own vehicle.

Tell you something else about hybrids. You can camp in remote areas with a hybrid minivan. Have climate control. Generate your own electricity. Use a Starlink mini for excellent wifi. Just bring your food, camp kitchen, water, and something to put your waste in. It's the only.way.I'd consider staying in the U.S. after my dad passes. Otherwise I'm heading back to Southeast Asia.

theres even non gay hybrids after all these years

if there was an impreza hybrid sedan i would consider it if theres reliability ratings.
