More people have died from Covid than Vietnam war . Right now, we’re are in a war against this virus. Just because you’re fine doesn’t mean some of your co workers and their families haven’t lost family members or are at risk. So show damn respect .
Every year over 100k die from the regular flu alone. Most dying from this kung flu strain are elderly or those with pre-existing medical conditions like being too darn fat. The overweight situation is out of control.

Coronavirus has already officially killed more Americans than every war except world war 2 and the civil war with deaths surely to surpass world war 2. We could of just followed procedures and beaten the virus a long time ago. With a 150k official infections a day it’s seems unstoppable at this point.
We are divided as a nation and are exposed to the world because of it.

Only 30 k died from the flu last year according to the cdc . With Covid ,it’s over 200 k . Big difference. But you keep living in denial of the facts.

Denial of facts like up to 90% false positives? Or only 6% of deaths were covid-only related? Or how many deaths have been attributed to covid when the person was later confirmed to not have had it at all?

No attempts at correcting official death counts despite these facts. No discussion of the implication of these facts by the experts.

You have to understand that when populations reach the numbers that ours has, something that affects even the smallest percentages of the population will have seemingly large raw numbers. But the fact is, it is ludicrous to throw as many resources at a problem that may only have long term effects or cause death of such a small percentage of the population. So far we only have 10 million or so positive test, we don't know how many false positives, we don't know how many actual cases that represents. As in, multiple positive tests attributed to a single case.

Of that 10 million, which if taken as actual number of cases, that is 3% of our population who have contracted this virus since we started testing. Of course the number of actual cases is likely much higher, but there is no practical way to know how many. Of those 10 million, even if we accept the 250,000 death toll number as fact, that is 2.5% of total cases, and .07% of the total population.

When you consider the resources that have been expended by not only the government, but the costs to all the individuals in this country, to attempt to contain and mitigate the virus, how much more do you think would be necessary to lower the death rate to an amount you find acceptable? After all, our total death count from all causes for this year is on track to be lower than what should have been expected.

None of that is to say the virus isn't a big deal, it's simply to point out that the spin put on the reporting on the pandemic and it's impact has all been to cast it in the worst light possible and create as much fear as possible. That's not a good thing. That's not how responsible news reporting or leadership is conducted, and that is one thing we need to be focused on.

I know drivers that had it and they reported a few days of being sick then they were over it like it was nothing.

Some people catch a cold and all sorts breathing problems, ear-sinus issues, etc, all linger, months sometimes, so lets all stop acting like this is something new.

Some possible remedies: take a walk, listen to some soothing music, go to YouTube and learn some breathing techniques, learn about and take supplements that has been talked about at nausea to prevent any virus, call your mom or call a friend.

Or people with positive antibody tests that never knew they had it all....
