Anyone else other that NE people make $92 an hour that day?
If you include the paid 8 hr day, we get around $108
$108.66 hr x 8
Local 705 Chicago
No... I only worked 7.5 hours. Only $59.40 plus bonus plus holiday. No more pension contributions either.
$34 because I'd rather get paid to be with my family then make $100 going in.
$34??? It’s not 2014.
$52.46 per hour for 5 and $26.23 per hour for 4 for the holiday. After working 18 years under article 40 at straight time it was a good deal. The Amazon packages were over the top can't wait for Monday.
Pay rates vary.
I know, but $3 seems a little steep. Hell, even Montana gets over 36.
It's totally plausible, because in some area's they have a % of their raises
diverted into the pension fund. Our old friend @UpstateNYUPSer dealt with that.
92 x 8, 55 x 3.5. Atlantic Area.
That's a scam. Because UPS pockets the overtime money.
Exactly. Only straight time hours count.
35.69 x 3= $107.07/hour for 8 hours.
$35.69 x 2= $71.38/hour for almost 2 hours.
Can not wait until next Friday when I get to point out to all the bonus babies that their bonus for running under was actually less than not running scratch by almost $19/hour
I was only addressing the disparity in hourly wages.
I understand that. But diverting wages is a scam. The company is saving a boatload of money when you do that. Unfortunately it hasn't worked out well for many pension plans.
You earned the holiday, 8 hours straight pay. Oh you worked the holiday too at double time. Nobody made $100+ an hour.
(Kind of scratching my head)
I don't think of it as a scam.... it's more like the reality of the situation ?
Any multi-employer pension fund that was projecting returns like the fund that
Upstate was in.. were delusional.. in thinking those returns were sustainable.
It's a windfall for the company we raises are divirted into the pension plan and unfortunately the only thing the employees get is fake promises and smaller paychecks.
Not to mention they will probably get a little less from Social security because of lower contributions.
How many years did you work at UPS?
