I agree but for many guys it's too late to make any real dent.


For my generation we know it's a different set of rules.


For my parents generation they grew up with the thought work 30 years get a pension. Worked for their parents after all. But many have had that rug pulled out from under at the last second.
So which is more important, voting no to hybrids or yes to significant pension increases, gotta go with the pension increase right?

We have known about the Pension problems for maybe 30 years. Just kick the can down the road.
Could have tried to fix it in ‘97. But the union didn’t want to inform the membership. The answer I got back then was “it doesn’t affect us, our pension is talking about sending out a 13th check”

I’ve always been told 688 has one of the highest pensions in the country, true?
High paying and high return in investment are two different things.


Also it pays out fair (probably headed up because we are over 100%) the thing that 688 has is we never top out. The longer you work your pension just keeps going up.
