I get very little cash, but gift certificates for night stays, free rentals, meals and drinks from the resort towns I deliver to. One of the marinas give me a free slip for the summer.

The best I ever did was $2500 in cash and a bunch of booze. Had an all business route for about 8 years. People were very generous and also got a crap ton of perks. Free stuff all year or at a huge discount.

I knew of a route where the customers were cheap bastards all year then gave thousands in tips at Christmas.

Mn. is known for it. VERY seldom got a tip other than keep the change for a COD. Christmas I would maybe get a total of 20 30 bucks and some gloves and LOTS of goodies to eat.
