Drug testing

100+ years ago, in a strange twist of fate, the 2 parties essentially “flip flopped” values.
Lincoln was a socially compassionate republican (sounds like an oxymoron)
The parities are nothing, if not influenced.
The way it always has been, and it always will be.
You all choose an “influenced” side and cling to whatever false idealist flavor of the month catches your eye
I urge you all to dig deeper and stop wasting your countries time with this ridiculous, damaging banter that continues to drive a steak right down the middle of America

Not exactly true either, they just developed new and different ways to play out their values. In today's world, Republicans being driven by money and devisiveness under the guise of Christianity is obtuse at best. Democrats work through socialism to develop citizens' dependency upon government. Once they are dependent, it's not much different from ownership. Both parties are a mess anymore, not sure what the answer is, but a two-party system breeds dishonesty and corruption.

AND THAT’S THE BOTTOM LINE

Starting with William Jennings Bryan, Democrats became more socially compassionate heading into the early 1900’s
What influenced this is entirely up for debate. Good stuff. Fascinating.
Once FDR came in with the New Deal, it was all over. Democrats were now the good guys worried about people and republicans were the bad guys worried about power.
Fast forward to 2020, and neither party cares about the American people whatsoever. Politicians are place holders, winners of ridiculous popularity contests; in which citizens nearly blindly cast their vote based on the thinnest of examples of any social or political “stance.”

We had a dues paying member at our local go in for drug testing. This is surprising given this individual is not only one of the best workers in the building, he's also never missed a day or been late during his time at our hub. Every supervisor seems to get along with him and speak highly of his overall work ethic.

My question is what constitutes as reasonable suspicion of an employee for an alcohol or drug test? I haven't seen him in over a week and am starting to think he may not be back.
Drug test me all you want on the clock. What do I care? Live clean and never worry.

Yes, on the clock....I had a stupid supervisor give me a “reasonable suspicion” test as I walked in the door. Claimed he observed me, and I hadn’t even clocked in yet!! Then forces me to take a test, was marked suspended for the entire day, not paid for a single minute. They can’t force you to do anything until you punch in right?

He suspected something before this.

Or, you were visibly impaired.

They can't force you to work off the clock. But, being "on property" is a different situation.

Easy money there.

It is.... if they test negative.

No. Have a valid script that has been given to them and when I got my dot card that it doesn’t impact my ability to operate the car

Is the script for an opioid based pain killer ?

Even if it is prescribed.... you could test over the limits in Article 35.

Don't be offended by my questions.

Because, it will come up.

Have you gotten the results yet ?

Off topic but the two-party system is the natural and inevitable result of plurality voting and single-member districts. To get rid of either of these would probably but not necessarily require a constitutional amendment(s), and that's not going to happen.
