Easy Win For President Trump?

We've got 24-30K troops in South Korea, where Trump says things are going well with his dear friend Kim. Having 1K special operators sitting in northern Syria was not too high a price to pay to ensure a more stable region and prevent ethnic cleansing of the Kurds.

I'm good with that as long as you're one of the 1000.

No, why would I? 11,000 Kurds died and 20,000 were injured when they led the way in helping us fight ISIS. The Kurds of northern Syria were our friends and allies.
Turkey is our only Ally in that region.

We often fight alongside other troops that share a similar objective. Those mutually beneficial relationships do not require that we are then obligated to risk our lives protecting them for eternity.
In this case we actually have other forces that also helped us fight Isis we are not obligated to also protect them from their historical enemies.

They won’t be again any time soon.

Of course they may end up “ethnically cleansed”, so maybe the problem just solves itself.

Why weren't they ethnically cleansed before now?
The Kurds not only had to worry about turkey before but sadaam hussien who famously gassed them.
