Glad you brought that up.Funny though that you failed to mention the fact that Cochran, Shelby, Crassley and Inhofe are all in their 80"s .....But that's ok with you because they're all Republicans. In fact because they' re Republican I'm sure it will be just fine if they all turn into the likes of Jesse Helms, so afflicted with cognitive dementia that they too have to be wheeled into the Senate chamber and have someone press the "no" button for them as the case was with Helms. One of the reasons he as known as "Senator No".

Now tell me why they should go first when you have several Republican senators in the same age group? In the meantime why not require all sitting members of the House, Senate and SCOTUS beginning at age 70 undergo annual physical and cognitive skills exams? If you flunk it either resign or not seek reelection.

The problem is someone can still be sharp when elected but when they get that old could suddenly decline at anytime. There are several politicians who hardly know where they are day to day but we are supposed to trust to make rational decisions.
Gee. you sound like you're talking about Hillary!!
