Well, Warren is toast..

I guess that puts Kamala Harris as the front runner. Too bad Tulsi Gabbard doesn't have more name recognition. Not sure if she's "left" enough...

There's is always, Howard Schultz...

Tulsi would still be my choice. But she doesn't have the kind of track record of ideological purity the hard left now demands. Think she used to speak out against gays/gay marriage etc as her father had. Some of the younger folks probably don't remember the time only 15-20 years ago when few people in either party were expressly for gay anything.

Tulsi also doesn't check enough boxes to become the hard left's champion of intersectional politics (she's not black or Hispanic). The Democrats will probably be campaigning on a platform of racial/gender victimhood since the economy/jobs card isn't really one they can play right now. And they'll want their candidate to be able to talk about it "authentically." Similar to when hard left activists demand that an actual gay actor play the role of a gay character on TV or in a movie. It's silly, but it's definitely a thing.

If Kamala gets the nomination, and the Democrats abandon moderates, I'll have to think pretty hard about what to do on election day next year.

Need to stop using lying as a reason not to be elected president.

I think part of that is attributable to the expectations set by the candidates themselves and their parties. If you live by the "Donald Trump is a liar" sword, you've gotta be willing to die by that sword if you yourself are found out to be a liar.

And besides, if Elizabeth Warren and the Democratic party could both accept that she's lied about some things and just move on, she'd be just as fine as Trump was with Republicans leading up the the election.
