Trump posted on his TRUTH Social account Friday that the documents were "all declassified."

"Number one, it was all declassified. Number two, they didn't need to ‘seize’ anything," Trump posted. "They could have had it anytime they wanted without playing politics and breaking into Mar-a-Lago."

Trump added: "It was in secured storage, with an additional lock put on as per their request."

"FBI agents who searched former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home Monday removed 11 sets of classified documents, including some marked as top secret and meant to be only available in special government facilities, according to documents reviewed by The Wall Street Journal."

"The list includes references to one set of documents marked as “Various classified/TS/SCI documents,” an abbreviation that refers to top-secret/sensitive compartmented information. It also says agents collected four sets of top secret documents, three sets of secret documents, and three sets of confidential documents. The list didn’t provide any more details about the substance of the documents."
all of which they could have taken june 4th if they thought it was such a big deal.

if it was so urgent why did they get the warrant friday and wait until monday to execute it.
clearly they felt the documents were secure and they could wait until august 7 to move in.

"Newsweek and the Wall Street Journal reported earlier that the search of Trump's Mar-a-Lago residence was prompted by a tip to investigators about the possibility of additional classified documents."

Did the FBI force entry into Trump's safe and anywhere he might have been hiding top secret documents on June 4th?
they were shown everything on june 4th . their only concern was a stronger lock.
if their only concern was a better lock than they should have been very happy that he had a safe.
the safe came up empty by the way though the informant told them there was something in there.

they lost the sense of urgency argument when they left everything there june 4th.

It was an obvious fishing expedition from how overly broad the warrant is. Instead of being specific about what they were looking for it said they could look everywhere for anything. Still no reasons given as a basis for the warrant. It had to be something recent and not the documents the National Archives already knew about and the FBI already saw. It is sounding a lot like a repeat of the Steele dossier where they used an anonymous and unverfied source - and lied to the judge.

affadavit needs to be released to see what the claims are.
keep in mind the affadavit is what was falsified that started the russian collusion investigation and resulted in 4 approvals of fisa warrants.
the DOJ is leaking rebuttals to the outrage to try to throw up flak.

Why don’t you start an Obama thread
We are talking about Orangeman in this one
why are you afraid to discuss the double standard? presidential record is linked to all former presidents since the act took place.
obama's special treatment is definitely part of the discussion.

so your argument is they were not shown any of the classified documents that they took this week but yet wanted a stronger lock to secure unclassified documents?

reallllllllllllly back at you?

My argument is that Trump didn't admit to possessing top secret nuclear weapons documents on June 4th and the FBI raided Mar-a-Lago to retrieve them this week.

they took classified documents that they saw june 4th. If not they wouldnt have cared what kind of lock he had on his documents.

they lost the urgency argument when they left it all there june 4th.
they could have applied for the warrant june 5th.

Back in the early seventies as a 19 year old airman I was carrying “TOP SECRET” documents at a SAC base.

No big deal back then, should not be a big deal particularly if you been a president...
