maybe you should take it out of your diad pouch
I like it in the diad pouch. I cannot see it, which also means that I cannot see the green light of death, so I am not even tempted. I wear earplugs going to and from the building, so I usually do not hear it either.

You're not seriously checking DIAD messages while driving are you?
I’m a newer driver but the highlight of my days are when I’m heading back to the center and heat the DIAD go off and get to glance at the green light the whole way home...multitask aka a fantastic way to give yourself an excuse to be fired

He is saying that the diad buttons get hit which makes him have to respond while driving, I have never had this happen while the diad was in the holder or charger. So the next guess would be him having it in his pouch for easy access to grab.

by law you need to take a 30 minutes break if you have been on duty and driving a commercial vehicle for more than 8 hours.

Wrong. Only applies to 8hrs when driving CDL.

UPS parcel runs on the 150 Air mile, non-CDL, exception. That’s why we can drive as much as needed (not consecutively) in a 4hr window... because DOT only counts DRIVE TIME. That’s also why the 11hrs drive time in 14hr window doesn’t count... we constantly get up to make delivery/pickups.

Bunch of BS

They have you whipped like that?? No lol, much more relaxed here.
No see, he's not whipped. That green light pops up while driving back to the building. He ignores it until the truck is parked.

Your whipped. They say jump, you say how high.

Btw, cutting corners all day to get done early doesnt make you a "good" driver. Just do the :censored2: job, dont hit anything and go home when your done.

Thanks for the help! You sure know your stuff! Good lord, can't ever rely on a senior driver. Lazy, non working, loophole finding, bums.
They are so cute when they're new.

I have a runner on the route right next to me. We compared paychecks last friday. I'm at 97k. Hes at 39k lol. So keep on runnin dip sht. Your only hurting yourself.

You want a toe? I can get you a toe.
I'm glad teamsters has people like you, its needed. Just work on meeting in the middle sometimes. Wanna know what's smarter than playing one side? Playing both sides. Stay golden.
Except you’re playing no sides. You’re just getting bent over a barrel lube free and begging for more.

Yeah but they don't punish the runners in his building.

He will be on here one day crying how he always made scratch and always helped out. Wondering why the company is firing him when he's such a good driver.
I’m just reading this thread shaking my head the whole time. Some people just can’t be helped.

How? There's no way. I haven't even hit year two yet and am at least over 50K YTD. How has he consistently been done that early all year long? Dude needs to slow down.

Our building is doing mandatory Saturdays, last Saturday I was done by 12, on my last delivery I was given a pickup in my board, I went to the stop and they told me the pickups would not be ready for another hour. I called the building and told them, they said they would switch it to another driver and for me to just head in. Soon as I hit the highway a message came in my board to take a lunch, and wait for the pickup. I called my Sup and he told me to take the lunch, even when I told him I would rather come in. (Our Saturdays are straight time and they never let anyone take a lunch.) So I figured I would take the lunch to help their numbers, that's fine with me as long as I get paid for it. Last night I looked at my time card and they took the hour lunch out of my pay. I asked why and their response was "Well you did take the lunch." (Like I had a option..) anyone have any similar issues?? Anything in that good book that can help me out?
So you guys are part time? I didn't know we had part time doing ground?

You are getting jerked around. I would have went and helped another driver or fueled up or reattemped any not ins. Take your break everytime you work and if they force you to take lunch on a Saturday then make it 8 hours. Learn how to play the game. I work for a living, those idiots went into management to find a place to hide from work.
Why is anybody code 5ing?
