This could be the trend going forward, as companies look to cut costs and maintain profits.
I completely describes a UPS management team during the pandemicDoes everybody remember the term “Essential Worker” during the peak of this pandemic.
Most of the office non union employees worked from home for the most part, this opened up the current phase of gutting middle managers.
Now it is “ big fish eating the little ones”...no more high salary, easy street do nothing positions.. sitting behind the desk and looking pretty ain’t going to cut it anymore.
39 years retired. never eaten. Never ate. we cut hourly jobs and management alike. One phrase that applies to UPS MGT that never changes- They Eat Their Own.
No doubt39 years retired. never eaten. Never ate. we cut hourly jobs and management alike.
another phrase i used to hear is we hate everyone.
recession is here , lot of companies going to be cutting a lot of jobs.
they've found ways to use technology to eliminate a lot of staff jobs. eliminated most of HR and IE.Does everybody remember the term “Essential Worker” during the peak of this pandemic.

Idk my girlfriend works from home since the pandemic. She handles health insurance claims. She cleans and cooks while she works. Seems like a win for me.White collar.
They can do the same thing at home as they did at the plant.
Only difference. They won't get paid to do nothing.
Would that be considered "stealing time"?Idk my girlfriend works from home since the pandemic. She handles health insurance claims. She cleans and cooks while she works. Seems like a win for me.
That's what I said but she's fed up and doesn't care and they don't care enough to monitor her soWould that be considered "stealing time"?
Is her company paying her to cook and clean or handle insurance claims?

We were recently at my state capital with my local to discuss some of those issues including driverless technology. I’m not sure people realize how close it is to reality and how scary it really is.they've found ways to use technology to eliminate a lot of staff jobs. eliminated most of HR and IE.
