I'm not sure if it ever made it in to the supplement but my former district outlawed the practice 10-15 years ago.

How would you account for those drivers who have already received their vacation pay and agree/ask at the last minute to work part or all of their vacation?

If he started at 17 he would have to be a a bare minimum 40 if he has 23 years with the company. Also if he has 23 ft years then he’s blessed.

Vacation bidding also needs to be revised.

Rather than bidding all of your vacation weeks in seniority order, vacation bidding should be in rounds:

Round 1----everyone bids two weeks in seniority order.
Round 2----everyone with weeks left bids two more weeks in seniority order.
Round 3----everyone with weeks left bids two more weeks in seniority order.
Round 4----bid remaining weeks in seniority order.

Since you don't even work here, how does this affect you?

What about the guys who "pick prime" and then decide to work those "prime" weeks?

It is their option, just as it is the option of a driver to work an hour off the clock for free...

I am in central. I had been a full time combo for 7 years before going RCPD. My seniority in the center was my full time date, not my first day driving. I ended up going above 15 or so other drivers.
