I went to the dentist in January and they recommended that I get my wisdom teeth taken out. However, I went to see a specialist in May. They said that when i was having trouble sleeping through the night because of the pain (which I am now) that it would be time to remove the teeth. My vacation is not for a month and a half and my teeth really hurt. So I asked my sup if I bring in an oral surgeon's note if my absence would not count against me. She said no they will count. Is this true and how can they expect you to come to work when you are taking pain medicine for your teeth? Is my boss the only boss at UPS that thinks that way?

Have them yanked out on a Friday and you should be good to go by Monday morning.
Not necessarily. It depends on your supplement. Where I am we don't have sick days.It's called sick days.
You get a set amount per year for any illness or injury.
They may require a doctors note.

We are allowed to save up to two weeks of our vacation to take as single days. That way if you are sick you burn one of those but that is only if you selected to use them as SVD days otherwise you just don't get paid.Really?
