I'm currently still qualifying for a ft driver position. Im on day 22 or so and I've been under multiple times already.

But I'm sick as a dog right now with strep throat, fever and can't seem to hold anything down. I'm nervous to call in but I fear I'll be a liability driving a truck.

What should I do?
Man up and work!

A) It's "lowly".
B) you ever hear of hand sanitizer? Your loader who is coughing and sneezing all over the boxes in your truck could get you sick too.

Thanks for the spelling tip. Hand sanitizer may be safe for hands but you cant sanitize an airborne infection. I would encourage my loader (if we had preload) to call in sick too.

If you have good report with your sup and center manager, talk to them. Let your mentors and Union shop steward know, if it's legit... you'll be fine. If you're on day 22 and you're over-allowed by 2 hours, you're history anyway.
