The contractor only has one complete uniform. The guy you saw? It was his day to wear the uniform. Another guy will get his turn to wear it tomorrow. it's made from the same material as Yorkie's Nazi uniform in JoJo Rabbit .Saw my first Ground driver in a complete uniform, who pays for this?
Are you still at ground?I wore a full FedEx uniform every day for all the years I delivered for Ground. All depends on who your contractor is and how much pressure the terminal manager puts on them about uniforms.
Nope. Left a little over a year ago. Saw the writing on the wall. More work, same pay.Are you still at ground?
Good for you. Are you still in transportation?Nope. Left a little over a year ago. Saw the writing on the wall. More work, same pay.
Did you ever tuck your shirt in?I wore a full FedEx uniform every day for all the years I delivered for Ground. All depends on who your contractor is and how much pressure the terminal manager puts on them about uniforms.
Heck no. Working in an office building now doing general maintenance. Took a pretty big pay cut down to 20/hr starting, but the benefits plus the ultra relaxed and flexible work environment really helps.Good for you. Are you still in transportation?
Every day. No visible tattoos in uniform shorts or short sleeves either. Good hygiene. Have all my teeth, minus wisdom. Any other stereotypes I’m missing?Did you ever tuck your shirt in?
Never seen a ground driver with his shirt tucked (usually wearing dirty denim shorts)
14-15 years. I started with HD, and switched to a Ground route before they combined. Part of my Ground route was doing the daily Ground pickup at Express, so I had a pretty good idea what it was like there. I saw all the skipped raises and increased benefits costs so it really never made sense for me to switch, even though they asked me repeatedly to think about it.How long were you a Ground driver and what was the average seniority where you were.
By now, probably not many. Everyone I’m sure (except for the remaining Kool-Aid drinkers) is tired if being screwed over by Fat Freddy and or Raj.Who cares at this point
