Ask your FTer where the eight hour request forms are.

Fill one out.

Ask where you find out if it's approved.

Enjoy your morning where preload doesn't bother doing your add cut, or does hopefully, and your last few PU aren't in your board.

If they * your 8 hour day call the office and complain. Call your FTer. You'll get it. They'll just have the rest of us come help you out. We all get em take advantage to go to your kids soccer game, karate graduation, or baseball finals. We're all bros here.

We have 55 drivers in our center and 7 full time inside employees making 62 total. Is the 10% of 62 or the number of routes that day?

Have you talked to your Steward?

Here it would be based on the Drivers in the center. The inside employee would be their own position.

If your 8 hour day gets approved and you work over 8.5 hours they will have to pay you a 2 hour at overtime penalty. You must file a grievance though.

The inside employee's don't count.

That's the Central Region language.... so I'll give you the run down.

Center manager says 10% of the routes that are put on that day

There is a interp from the JAC on this.

It's "supposed" to be 10% of the 90% drivers.... that have a 40 hour guarantee

for the week. The lower 10% is not figured in, because they don't have a 40 hour

guarantee, only an 8 hour daily guarantee when put to work.

Also, this is based off of the top 90% who have a posted start time for the week.

The company will try and say it's based off the number of routes on Monday or

daily, which is wrong. You don't count drivers on vacation or disability either.

Yes, we are going to file a clarification grievance. I was wondering if someone is reading it differently then we were

This was decided at the JAC back in the 1980's.... so you shouldn't need to file

for clarification. Just file on the request being denied.

Your BA has access to the JAC decision to read.

Not in the Central Region. We still have our own 8-hr language, that doesn't include

a penalty payment. We have something better.... we can bring back the work to

make the 8-hr request.
