How Much Have Your Personal Driving Habits Have Changed As A UPS Driver?

The way they say mirrors should be adjusted was always one of the things that irritated me. It was invented by someone sitting in an office looking at pictures and not someone who actually used the mirrors while driving.

I used our so called mirror station to adjust my mirrors once. Almost backed into to something. Put them back where I was comfortable.

It would also piss me off when every morning I had to adjust my mirrors again because car shift wouldn't move trucks 50 feet without messing with the mirrors.

I like the idea of rear view cameras. What irks me are the 30 second ads of the guy who just can't flipping pay attention to the road and relies on his smart car to do all the driving. I think it was an Inifiniti ad. Its instinct to protect leaves you free to drive. Yeah, hopefully off a bridge.

I also like the idea of rear view cameras and have them on both my pkg car and personal vehicle. I do tend to rely a bit too much on the RVC in my Altima, which my son calls cheating.

I like the rear camera on anything. Paying attention is a given, blind spots are as well.
As ups says; use it as a third mirror.

I had a supervisor ride with me and he got annoyed that I was going the speed limit and going twenty in a school zone. He asked if I drove the speed limit in my personal car. I told him that I drove like a bat out of hell in my personal car and I usually had a few beers in me and looked at porn while I drove. But when I was at work I was a professional.

Had a driver get a ticket for driving regular speed in a flashing school zone during spring break.

I would really like to have the definition of "when children are present" explained when there is no flashing light. Is it just during drop off and pick up times? What about 7:00 at night when there is a game of some kind going on?
Way too vague of a rule and way too much riding on it to leave it up to anyone's interpretation.
