New guy here figured I'd join up since I plan on making the difficult journey to making it up to being a driver.

Im a preloader and driver helper when needed...

Question on though they gave me the run around but will it help me having a CDL with hazmat already with 2 yrs of driving exp?

Yes that would help to go into feeders. May have to apply as an off the street hire but I am assuming you have not been PT very long. Talk to feeders and feeder management. The old saying "It's not what you, it's who you know" still carries a lot of weight. As far as package car driver, No. Neither apply.

If you are a permanent hire on preload, you will have to work up the ranks like everyone else does. We call that seniority. Doesn't matter what certifications you have. If you do quit, then you may be put on the 'do not rehire' list or whatever it is called. Ask the HR guy about this, he will give you the info.

If you are a driver helper(jumper), you will not get a driving job, not this year.
