I think they had an over abundance of “cool guys” the gods didn’t want. One of the reasons we wanted to go to Ek Balam because eventually the “cool guys” are going to hit it hard and more people will die from falling, resulting in them shutting it down to climb. We were at the top for about 15 mins and saw two people almost bite it.

When my son passed away his heart went to a wheat farmer in South Dakota who farmed 6,000 acres. After his transplant his doctor told him he had to slow down a bit. He farmed 600 acres after that until he retired for good a couple of years ago. Its been 16 years and hes still going strong.

Private residence down a long driveway, out in the country, thank goodness. I have noticed though a few plantations closer to the city have changed their names from “Tara” Plantation to “Tara” Historic Site. SMH.
