If UPS raises the seasonal pay rate, but you were hired on at a lower rate, do they increase this?

If they are raising it, it's because they need people. Tell them you will quit unless they pay you the same as the new seasonals.

Might not work but what do you have to lose?

But he's seasonal. It will be gone anyways and he can always go somewhere else like amazon.
True but UPS @ $21/hr or Amazon @ $16/hr. He can always go to Amazon after peak I suppose. Still I’d rather work at a grocery store than Amazon, you get paid more and a lot of them are unionized.

I believe where I am Amazon Flex is paying the same as us. I'm sure it's different across the country. I just know if I was a seasonal I'd attempt to get the hire pay.

In package , no. Some feeder locals do that.
This. In package no. In the 177 seasonal feeder drivers are paid full rate from day one. If hired permanent after peak, they go all the way down and begin progression. Also FT feeder drivers that aren’t yet at full rate, go to full rate the first day we have a seasonal feeder driver working, and remain at full rate until the last one is laid off.

For 21 bucks an hour?
Amazon Flex is $19 a hour year round here. For peak they've up'd it.

For a $6 dollar pay raise I'd attempt it. The only thing I have to lose is a seasonal job and I highly doubt UPS is going to let that happen when they are already paying seasonal the pay he's asking for.

Life's full of chances. This one I would take.
