Is it worth starting off as a 22.4?

If you want a career at UPS, go FT as soon as you can. Depending on your Supplement,FT gets to bid on any open FT jobs before PT. Many part timers in my Local didn’t want to be a driver,so they passed on the job hoping for a 22.3. Problem is a guy hired off the street as a driver gets the 22.3 before a part timer,no matter how much Seniority the PT has...

I can only go by what the 22.3 drivers told me when I asked them about what they make.
Of course different supplements may be worded differently.
Article 40 combo is not a 22.3, though? Are you talking about 22.4? They are combo air drivers if making PT ratr inside and progression outside. I had one of those jobs.

Air Combo is considered a 22.3 position. You get the the FT air rate for delivery of air,and your inside rate is based on Company Seniority
