Back when I was qualifying I used to regularly cover the routes of two older guys. I don't know if they were walking backwards all day but I had no problem getting their routes done and getting back to the building long before they would have. Both of them came up to me and basically told me to slow the down. I was trying to get a FT job and really couldn't care less that a newbie was making a 25 year veteran look bad.

As long as you are working safely and not pissing off the customers you have no reason to apologize for your pace while on road.

If you took your full lunch, followed the methods and walked at a brisk pace (no running) then you must walk on water to get to your package car.

This is a marathon - not a sprint. UPS will use you up if you allow them...Give UPS a fair day's work - nothing less and nothing more. You are allowing yourself to be abused...

I’ve seen a few routes where the OP’s pace is possible. That being said, there’s a difference between working hard and working stupid. This is a marathon, not a sprint.
