well, I was told this was a mileage run, paid by the mile. so I thought all the extra work I was doing not driving was just extra. one driver told me that the run was paid a set amount by the mile. Have always been paid by the hour .
Dude, ignore Upstate. He likes to pretend he knows everything, including feeder. Whatever...

Anyways, anytime you're doing a mileage run you need to account for all your "delays" and "other work" in the IVIS. There are "other work, combined work, and delay" functions that are used to account for periods of time that you are not driving but doing hourly work instead , i.e. Fueling, washing, building/breaking sets, traffic delay, etc. You should also use a paper itemized drivers log to write down the times you did compensated work. You should turn that into your payroll clerk, as well as use the IVIS. You also need to turn in an expense account form and receipts. Get with a senior driver in your bldg. You may end up taking your lumps this time, though.
