The drama unfolded when 40-year-old Will hit out at 58-year-old Jezza for a segment on his Amazon show The Grand Tour which featured a Wrangler Jeep with a pink roof and the Weather Girls son It’s Raining Men playing.
Jeremy along with fellow hosts James May and Richard Hammond commented drivers of such a car should “wear ventilated chaps” and “moisturiser”.
Will lashed out to blast the segment as “homophobic” - but this then caused Jeremy to respond with a sarcastic remark.
“Many gay people who'd seen the show said they couldn't see a problem. None of my leftie friends could either. One even said I should tell him to stop being so gay,” Jeremy said in his weekly column for The Sun.
“I won't do that though. And now I will suggest, once again, that mobile phones should be fitted with breathalyzers' to stop people drinking and tweeting,” he continued.
"No. Instead, I will apologize to Will for causing him some upset and reassure him that I know I'm not homophobic ...
