That was a nice element being in Corporate ... we were encouraged to take the week of and after Christmas off as vacation weeks.
Mainly so Corporate employees would not bother the region and district people! LOL
Unfortunately, that never seemed to apply to me as IT always has an Enterprise release the weekend before or of New Years Day.
Always some last minute testing and Quality Assurance needed. I could usually get a couple days off at Christmas to bridge to the weekend but around New Years was 16 hour days.

I truly feel sorry for American’s that think one half or the other of the two-party system is going to bail them out.
