Honestly it’s stupid. A couple hundred in single stage brown and a weekend could paint any bread truck. Toss in some decals from a shady sign shop (or buy a used printer from auction) and you have a vehicle.

Then you buy some UPS uniforms on EBay. Now you’re ready to go around and do “pick ups” lol

“Hey boss UPS is here to pick up those ARs we are sending back to Ruger.” - okay cool. “Wait... we don’t have any return shipments today.” - he’s gone, with the rifles.

Really though, I can see why UPS doesn’t want brown package cars being sold to the public. Just like uniforms. I remember hearing about a fake UPS guy going into banks to grab Master bags, part of some identity theft ring.

Yeah, we recently had a VT powered 1200 go down for a motor, we got rid of that thing super fast. This time of year I have seen them fix stuff that never should have been fixed, then you end up buried in road calls and writeups from the rehabbed truck that should be soda cans by now.

Not sure, the sups handle all that stuff, they are also supposed to witness it get crushed and then sign off on it. Clearly that did not happen here.

They used to but not too long ago they announced that they no longer wanted our stuff and the market tanked. All over the US vs China tariff wars.

The Chinese stopped taking our plastic a few years back because it was too contaminated. Now almost all US plastic is landfilled.

The trade war with China is one of the main factors currently driving scrap metal prices down.
