Best to heed police warnings when they are summoned to your residence. If you don't, you may be creating trouble.

read the entire article.as usual people are jumping to conclusions. they had to wrestle with the guy beforehand and even tried the stun gun. then the cops were yelling "drop the knife drop the knife" and disobeying officers instructions when he reached into the vehicle they opened fire.

don't see anything wrong as yet. there will have to be an investigation of course.

all officers are going home alive. once again these people are STUPID!!! how hard is it to obey a police officer that has a gun?

I have been pulled over a couple dozen times since i have been driving since 1974. I ALWAYS obeyed officers instructions completely. Even when the cop was trying to provoke me when I was on my Harley. Always polite in response which usually defused his bad attitude.

My Dad told me at a very young age not to argue with the police. They have a badge and a gun and can take your life and freedom away in an instant. The time to fight back is in a court of law.

Exactly. Anyone who fights the police at the scene, in the right or not, is a complete idiot. If your rights are truly violated and you are totally innocent, you have the grounds for a lawsuit. No one who is innocent fights the police

I’m sure none of the people abused by police ever thought of suing. You should tell them, that’ll fix everything. Lol

I didnt say it was a guarantee. Just the smarter path to take. However, 99% of the time when ppl are claiming they "dindu nuffin", they turn around and resist or punch/shoot at the officer. *shrug* If I'm in a situation where I've been wronged by the police, thats what I would do. Hire an attorney (and of course since its the flavor of the month to be black right now, if its a black person who was truly wronged they could probably get a decent attorney to pick up the case for them anyways to make a name for themselves since itll likely get media attention), and fight it in court.

Youll never hear me say we have a perfect justice system, or any kind of system for that matter. Far from it. All I know is, Id rather be in America than any other country on Earth at the current moment*.

Ya there’s tons of great lawyers capable of taking on the police that work on contingency for poor black people. You’re quite the comedian.

You show me one example where a poor black person who truly didnt do ANYTHING was wronged by the police, and Ill donate to help them hire an attorney. Since theres hundreds of these supposed cases across the country, finding ONE shouldnt be a problem right?

Are you actually arguing there’s no police abuse? That’s up there with most oblivious post ever. Top 5 easy.

Not at all. Im CERTAIN there is police abuse. And Im also certain that it gets dealt with much of the time, not all of the time. Again, Im no worshipper of the police. Ive had my ass kicked by the police before myself. (In all honesty, I signed myself up for the ass-whipping so I dont hold a grudge but nevertheless). What I am arguing is that ALL people who are corrupt should face justice, including officers. I think that its BS for police to hold "internal investigations into wrong-doing" when there is a civil complaint against them. Should be conducted by an oversight org and made public. I just dont think its anywhere near as rampant as the media hypes it up to be.

Behave and police interactions are minimal.

Every time I listened to the officers instructions, I didnt get my ass handed to me. The ONE time I didnt, I received a proper beatdown by this short, stalky MFer with some pent up angst. lel
