If it was that important to me, I'd stay there and push a broom for a hour, just to make sure I get my 3.5.

Many of the factories around here, who normally run 24/7, shut down for the week between Xmas and New Years.

Or you could always just accept pay actual and when you want your 3.5 you request it. Not that hard.

My brother works in manufacturing and is off until the 4th. He was given time off and had to use some personal time. He had been working 6 day weeks so the down time is welcome.

At my small hub, we are running 11 routes this Monday the 28th. I'm just a pre-loader that became an air driver a year ago, but we are starting preload at 8:30 a.m. this Monday. Like others have mentioned, it's suppose to be heavy the rest of the week so going back to the usual pre-load peak start time of 4:30 a.m. I'll gladly take the hours because it probably won't be like this a month from now.

Other than bulk sheets being nowhere close to accurate, which is normal for Mondays, it was a pretty easy day.

Started at 830 here and I was punched out at 1410. Not even close to the first one back.

Half the routes we were running last week. Everyone is very light. If it wasn't for late afternoon pickups, I'd be headed back to the center right now.

I went to Staples after going to see Star Wars to pick up a new desk calendar. They had a bin and two carts full of pickup pieces. So glad I took the day off.
